2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Sets Released
Appearing as the first silver proof set to contain the new America the Beautiful Quarters Program strikes, the United States Mint today released the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set.
Silver sets have been available from the US Mint since 1992. It was not until 2004, however, that the Mint began creating one to feature only the quarter-dollars issued for a year.

Yellowstone National Park Quarter Launch Ceremony
The time and location for the second official America the Beautiful Quarters launch was announced today by the United States Mint. The Yellowstone National Park Quarter release ceremony will take place on June 3, 2010 at 10:30 AM Mountain Time.
The event will be held behind the Old Faithful Inn, which was designated a National Historic Landmark from Wyoming in 1987 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2004. Read more
Yellowstone National Park Quarter Rolls and Bags
The Yellowstone National Park Quarter will be available in rolls and bags beginning on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, according to the new product schedule shown on the United States Mint Web site.

These strikes are also expected to be released through the Federal Reserve banking system and into circulation by local banks on the same day.
The coins mark the second issue of the America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program which debuted earlier this year with the Hot Springs National Park Quarter honoring the national park of the same name located in Arkansas. Read more
2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Sets Released
The United States Mint today launched their 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set. It is the first numismatic product released to includes all of this year’s quarter-dollars.
Collectors, or anyone else for that matter, can purchase a set for $14.95. Included within are the following coins that spotlight four national parks and one national forest:
- 2010-S Proof Hot Springs National Park Quarter
- 2010-S Proof Yellowstone National Park Quarter
- 2010-S Proof Yosemite National Park Quarter
- 2010-S Proof Grand Canyon National Park Quarter
- 2010-S Proof Mount Hood National Forest Quarter
The parks and forest are respectively located in the states of Arkansas, Wyoming, California, Arizona and Oregon. Read more
2010 Hot Springs National Park Quarter Mintages Not Finalized
The United States Mint recently published April coin production figures, providing the latest 2010 mintage totals for circulating pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollars and $1 coins.
Quarter production was off to a late start this year as the Hot Springs National Park Quarter did not begin to enter circulation until April 19, 2010. In a typical year, new quarter-dollars are already pressed and distributed in January. Read more
