The 2013 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set™ will be issued by the United States Mint on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
Offered as the fourth annual release in a series, the ten-coin uncirculated set will become available beginning at Noon (Eastern) on that day for $12.95, plus the US Mint’s standard shipping and handling charge of $4.95 per order.
All of the coins are struck to uncirculated quality typically resulting in a coin with more intricate details than their circulating counterparts.
Production of uncirculated strikes involve a "special coining process used to make the coin, which gives it a brilliant finish," describes the US Mint. "Uncirculated coins are manufactured using the same process as circulating coins, but with quality enhancements such as slightly higher coining force, early strikes from dies, special cleaning after stamping, and special packaging."
The ten coins of the 2013 Quarters Uncirculated Set include:
- 2013-D and 2013-P White Mountain National Forest Quarter
- 2013-D and 2013-P Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial Quarter
- 2013-D and 2013-P Great Basin National Park Quarter
- 2013-S and 2013-P Fort McHenry Memorial and Historic Shrine Quarter
- 2013-S and 2013-P Mount Rushmore National Memorial Quarter
Reverse designs on the coins are emblematic of the selected sites of national interest found in the states of New Hampshire, Ohio, Nevada, Maryland and South Dakota, respectively.
These coins represent the sixteenth through twentieth to be offered as part of the US Mint’s America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. The series debuted in 2010 and features five new strikes annually with each honoring a different site of national interest on its reverse. The program is scheduled to end in 2021 when one site from each state, the District of Columbia and the five US territories has been featured in the series.
An illustrated folder contains the ten coins of the 2013 Quarters Uncirculated Set. Photos of the five sites honored by the coins are featured on the cover. The quarters are located inside the folder alongside with additional details about the sites and coins.

I haven’t collect uncirculated coins set before but noticed that on some uncirculated coin that are minted at Philadelphia & San Francisco. I thought that its supposes to be – Philadelphia & Denver Mint only for uncirculated set. Thanks
Last year the SF Mint started striking uncirculated quarters as well. Not for circulation, but solely for collectors.
