Chaco Culture National Historical Park Quarter Ceremony
After entering circulation on April 2, Chaco Culture National Historical Park quarters will get an official introduction on Thursday, April 26, 2012, in the form of a ceremonial launch. A coin forum the night prior to the event will also be conducted, the United States Mint announced Tuesday.
The second quarter released this year and the 12th since the America the Beautiful Quarters series debuted in 2010, the Chaco Culture Park Quarter will get introduced to nearly two hundred schoolchildren by officials from the United States Mint and the National Park Service (NPS). Read more
2012 Quarters Uncirculated Set Available
Available Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 12:00 Noon ET is the next United States Mint product featuring this year’s quarters, the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Set.
This is the third quarters uncirculated set released since the 2010 introduction of the America the Beautiful Quarters series which honors national parks and other national sites in each U.S. state, U.S. Territory and the District of Columbia. Read more

Chaco Culture National Historical Park Quarter Release, Rolls and Bags Available
On April 2, 2012, the United States Mint will join with the Federal Reserve Bank to release the Chaco Culture National Historical Park Quarter. On that day, the newest issue from the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program will be released into circulation by the Federal Reserve with bags and rolls of the coins also available for ordering directly from the U.S. Mint.

The Chaco Culture Quarters are the second of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program to be issued in 2012 and follow the El Yunque National Forest Quarters which made their debut on January 23, 2012. El Yunque National Forest Quarter Ceremony in Puerto Rico
Today, March 14, 2012 the United States Mint and the U.S. National Forest System hosted a public launch ceremony for the El Yunque National Forest Quarter.
Treasurer of the United States, Rosie Rios, spoke during ceremony that was held at the El Portal Rain Forest Visitor Center, inside the national forest located in Puerto Rico.
"El Yunque National Forest is a perfect selection for the America the Beautiful Quarters Program," said Treasurer Rios. "As Americans use this new quarter, they will connect to the stories of the endangered Puerto Rican parrot, the magnificent effort you are making to rescue this beautiful bird from extinction, and the biodiverse national treasure that is its home — El Yunque National Forest."
El Yunque National Forest Quarters Released, Rolls and Bags Start
On Friday, February 3, 2012, the United States Mint will begin selling rolls and bags of Puerto Rico’s 2012 El Yunque National Forest Quarters. The coins were released into public circulation on January 23.

El Yunque National Forest Quarter Rolls and Bags
The El Yunque quarter is the first in 2012 and the eleventh in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program that started in 2010. Its design on its reverse features the Coqui tree frog and a Puerto Rican parrot in a tropical setting. The designer was Gary Whitley and the engraver was Michael Gaudioso.
Prices for the new products have been marked lower than last year’s issues. Instead of being $49.95, 100-coin bags of the El Yunque National Forest Quarters are each $34.95, and the two-roll sets are $32.95 instead of $39.95. The main reasons for the lower prices were the result of the U.S. Mint’s efforts to refine the product costing process and negotiate better prices from its suppliers, the bureau states. Read more
Chickasaw Quarters Three Coin Set Available
The final numismatic set from the United States Mint featuring Chickasaw quarters has finally hit the market. On Tuesday, December 20, 2011, the U.S. Mint launched the Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarters Three Coin Set for $14.95.

Being the tenth issue in the America the Beautiful Quarters® series and the fifth for 2011, the three coin set was preceded by national park quarters in 2010 for Hot Springs, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and Mount Hood and in 2011 by Gettysburg, Glacier, Olympic, and Vicksburg. The Chickasaw quarter entered circulation on November 14, 2011 and started being sold by the United States Mint in bags and rolls the same day.
Finding two quality uncirculated strikes is less expensive via the Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarters Three Coin Set. The quarter dollars could also be pulled out of the 2011 Mint Set which includes collector versions of all the 2011-dated coins, but that sets costs $31.95. Read more
2012 National Park Quarter Designs
The United States Mint on Thursday, December 8, released line art imagery of the final designs for the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters®. They include four national park quarter designs and one featuring a national forest. The five quarters are due to be released at intervals into circulation next year.
The release official reveals the designs chosen by the Secretary of the Treasury for use on the reverse sides of the 2012 circulating quarters from many candidates presented by the United States Mint. The four 2012 National Park Quarter and one National Forest Quarter honor five different sites of national interest and marks the third year of releases for the program. 2011 National Park Quarters and Site Circulating Coin Set
The United States Mint released the 2011 America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set representing the five national park and site quarters released in 2011. The set went on sale at Noon (Eastern) on November 29, 2011 for $9.95, plus the Mint’s standard shipping and handling charge of $4.95 per order.

Coins included in the set honor five different sites from around the United States, including Gettysburg National Military Park of Pennsylvania, Glacier National Park of Montana, Olympic National Park of Washington, Vicksburg National Military Park of Mississippi and Chickasaw National Recreation Area of Oklahoma. Each site is represented in the set by two different quarter dollars, one struck at the U.S. Mint’s facility in Denver and one struck at the U.S. Mint’s facility in Philadelphia. Read more
Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarters Released, Rolls and Bags Issued
The United States Mint planned three days of events to celebrate the launch of the 2011 Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter.

The U.S. Mint sent the above image to customers reminding them that the Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter was released and is available in rolls and bags.
These new coins honor the national site in Sulphur, Oklahoma. The reverse design on the Chickasaw quarter features the Lincoln Bridge over Travertine Creek. The limestone bridge, a popular destination within the park, was dedicated in 1909 to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth. The coin’s design was created by Donna Weaver and engraved by Jim Licaretz.
Beginning on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 12 noon Eastern Time, the United States Mint released 100-coin bags and two-roll sets of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area quarter. The bags and rolls contain circulation quality strikes that have not entered general circulation. Read more
