This set consists of 10 quarters — five uncirculated quarters minted at Denver and five uncirculated quarters minted at Philadelphia, which equals two strikes for each design. The uncirculated finish means the coins are not business strikes like those found in every day change. Instead, they go through a special minting process for collectors. However, the last time such a statement was affixed to one of the sets in March it was to adjust its pricing after silver had reached over $35 an ounce. Continue reading 2010 Silver Proof Sets with National Park Quarters Temporarily Unavailable

On Monday, April 4, 2011 at 12 noon Eastern Time, the United States Mint will begin selling 100-coin bags and two-roll sets of the 2011 Glacier National Park Quarter. For collectors, rolls and bags of new quarters are fairly popular not only because the coins are part of a series, but also because they offer a first chance to receive and look at new coins long before they make their way into every day circulation.
